The Open Bible Academy exists as one of the ministries of The Church of the Open Bible designed to educate children. OBA seeks to provide students with a strong education with a Biblical worldview and to protect students from harmful secular philosophies and influences.  However, we recognize that our students will not always be under OBA's protection; therefore students may learn about some of these secular philosophies in order to better defend themselves against them with Biblical Truth.

The mandate for Christian Education is based upon convictions obtained from commandments and principles found in the Word of God. The Scriptures clearly command two institutions to educate children: the home and the church (Genesis 18:19; Deuteronomy 6:7; Proverbs 22:6; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:42; Ephesians 6:4; 2 Timothy 2:2). In summary, we firmly believe that parents and the church have a God-given primary responsibility for educating their children.
